3 Simple Tips for Achieving Success in Network Marketing… When You Are Part-Time!

How many hours/day do you have to “work your business”?

Are you making the most of the 24 hours in each and every day?

As a part-time network marketer myself, I think it is time to share what I have learned along the way to achieve success while working this industry part-time.

First of all, let me share a little bit about me and what my typically day looks like…

I am a mom of two, a wife of one, and a Senior Project Manager in Corporate America. I typically work 45-50 hours/week at my corporate job, including traveling at least a week out of every month. Sound crazy? My two daughters are 10 and 5 and are involved in sports, music lessons, dance lessons, church activities, and more. I am also the Chairman for the local March for Babies Event in my area. Wooh!

Oh, and one more thing I failed to mention… my husband works out of town every week and is home for the weekends (so I am kind of a “single parent” during the week!).

A typically day for me looks like this:

• 6:00 AM – 7:00 AM  Get up and get ready for work

• 7:00 AM – 7:30 AM  Kids up and ready for the day

• 7:30 AM  – 7:40 AM  Drop kids off at daycare

• 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM  Work at J.O.B.

• 5:25 PM – 5:30 PM  Pick up kids at daycare

• 5:30 PM – 8:30 PM  Dinner/Baths/Homework/Music Lessons

• 9:00 PM – 11:00 PM  Mom Time!

And then the next day, we start all over again…

So, how do I build my business with a schedule like this?

Here come the 3 Tips!

Tip #1 – Use every minute you can.

What do I mean by this? Don’t wait until you have a full 30 minutes or an hour to work on your business. You can get many tasks completed in 5, 10, or 15 minute increments. Set yourself up for success and do this in increments.

• Make prospecting calls for 15 minutes

• Perform research for an article for 10 minutes

• Post some ads on Facebook for 5 minutes

• Catch up on emails for 10 minutes

When my daughters have music lessons, I am in my car on the computer writing an article or following up with prospects, etc (this is a great time to make calls!). If you have multiple little chunks of time throughout your day (and you use them!), you can accomplish a lot!

Tip #2 – Automate, Automate, Automate.

There are so many great tools available to help automate tasks that you perform, including:

• Following up with prospects automatically (using autoresponders)

• Generating leads on autopilot
  

• Syndication of your value-packed content

• Ping.fm (one of my favorites… and FREE!)

• And many more!

I am currently utilizing Facebook PPC to generate 20-60 leads/day (more articles and training to come on this topic)! And… this is basically on autopilot.

With my crazy schedule (as you saw above), this lead generation strategy allows me to generate hundreds to thousands of leads/month and continue to build my business on a seriously part-time basis.

Tip #3 – You must have an AMAZING Presentation!

When you begin to generate leads on a daily basis, it is critically important to have a system or a process in place for handling hundreds of prospects. Do you have this in place? Where do you send your prospects?

Do you have a presentation that has been proven to work?

Do you have a presentation that has proven to convert?

I am part of a team with a presentation system that is built right into Facebook and converts higher than any other presentation. This system also contains a built-in autoresponder that allows me to automatically follow-up with my leads. This combination allows me to share information and keep in regular contact with my prospects even with limited time to do so.
