How to Build Backlinks to Your Blog with the Empower Network
Do you have a blog? If so, then I am sure you have heard of the Empower Network.
Well, in case you have been living under a rock (hey… it can happen!), the Empower Network is a viral blogging platform that gives anyone and everyone the chance to market online.
What do you get with the Empower Network? When you join the Empower Network community, you get an optimized WordPress blog that includes the hosting, a lead capture page, and a professional and highly converting sales funnel. This is plug-and-play! No technical stuff required!
Now, I know you are sitting there thinking and scratching your head… Why would you want to build backlinks from your Empower Network blog to your own blog?
This will help build your credibility and help you rank higher on Google for your content. Pretty cool, right?
Empower Network and Backlinking
First of all, let’s discuss quality backlinks. What is a quality backlink? To get this concept, you need to know what PageRank means. PageRank is a trademark of Google and has been patented! PageRank, in simple terms, is what Google uses to determine how important (or how much “clout”) a web page is. PageRank is one of numerous factors that are used to determine what sites will appear in the search results.
Empower Network has a PageRank of 1!
PageRank is defined as a scale of 0 to 10. Websites begin with a rank of zero. To further your understanding of PageRank, the following websites have these PageRank values:
- Google – PageRank of 9
- Yahoo – PageRank of 9
- Ezine Articles – PageRank of 6
- Hubpages – PageRank of 6
- www.AndiePetoskey.com(my personal blog) – PageRank of 3 (Yahoo!)
- Personal blogs typically will have a PageRank of 0 – 3.

To increase the PageRank of a website takes time, some authority and credibility, and backlinks. As you can see from the tiny sample above, the higher the PageRank, the more important the website.
The Empower Network website has been around for less than month and already has achieved a PageRank of 1!! This is unheard of.
Get High Quality Backlinks with Your Empower Network Blog
A quality backlink is established when a site has a backlink from another site with a PageRank that is equal or higher. The more quality backlinks a site has, the more “clout” the site has with the search engines. The more “clout” the site has, the site will rank higher in the search engines.
So, what does this all have to do with the Empower Network? Because the Empower Network has already established a PageRank, your personal website will get a quality backlink when you connect it with your Empower Network site.
The Bottom Line
This is what you need to do. When you create a post on your own website/personal blog, link this post back to a blog post on the Empower Network and vice versa.

1) Content is King – I know you have heard that before! A blog is a place for you to share your content, other people’s content, and tons of valuable information. Post articles, videos, training information, and more! You have so much to share… and you don’t even realize it! So, start sharing!
2) Consistency is Queen – Write, post, write, post, write, post, etc. Consistency is the key. Let me share a little secret… you will not get lots of traffic from one post. Set a goal for yourself for the next 30 days. Post content to your blog once a day for the next month. Can you do it? You will be amazed at the results!
3) Share Value – DO NOT Pitch Your Business. Provide value, make people laugh, share insights, stories, and experiences. Do this, and you will develop a following. Record training videos on different topics… Write reviews on different companies or products… Share a product that has been useful to you… Get my drift?
4) Promote Your Content - Write great content, recording awesome videos, creating product or company reviews are only as good as you promote them. If you don’t promote your blog and posts, who is going to see it? Share your content on Facebook, Twitter, You Tube, and more. Join a Tribe and get your content syndicated. Use an Article Submitter and get your content to hundreds of sites. Last but not least… don’t forget about that content you wrote 10 days ago! That was good stuff! “Tweet Your Old Posts!”
5) Be Yourself and Have Fun – If you are not yourself, your readers are going to see right through you and not come back. If you do not have fun, you will write one post or article and then be done with it. This is your site… be creative, be consistent, and most of all, enjoy what you do!

What are backlinks and why would you want them?
Backlinks are a link to your site from somewhere else. The more backlinks you have to your site, the higher page rank of your site.
Are you interested getting on the first page of Google for search results? If so, then you need page rank (and therefore, backlinks).
