    Dave,
Thank you so much for your comment! We are thrilled as how it turned out, as well.
However, this is not always the case. That’s why we need to continue to perform research
and help all babies be healthy!

Andie, yours is a beautiful story and I am happy to see the pictures of your beautiful girls.

I am working to set up a brain injury survivors group here and just rights for children’s health care. I fell on my head 23 months ago and am still recovering. You are right about gaining a deeper understanding when you go through a trauma.

I wish you fund raising drive works out well.
    Love and affection
    Jay

  6. Thanks for sharing Andie,

I can relate…Our grandbaby was just born – just a little early, but the fluid was gone. Doctors couldn’t tell for how long, she was only a little over 5 lbs & very thin…..It was scary! Thanks to the Lord & modern medicine she’s healthy & strong now… just a couple months later.

It’s such a miracle your girls are here & healthy too…

    Continue to be blessed,
    Sherri

    Andie-
What a wonderful piece! Thank you for sharing your story with me. My son,Dean, was born at 36 weeks as well. He went home 1 day late. He was 4 lbs 10oz. For my second I went on bedrest for the final 6 weeks. It worked for me and Liberty was born 1 day after 40 weeks. They are (of course) the joys of my life (with my hubby), :)

I’m so proud of how you have lead the Holland team. The entire committiee has done a great job. I really appreciate your leadership and organizational skills. I have had more involvement with the Holland walk than some of the other sites and I am looking forward to seeing Christian Frank and the whole walk. (It will be my first March for Babies event ever!) My Dad will be attending, and I think my kids and Hubby will come out as well. I’m so fired up!

    Thank you for everything!
    Ginger

Hi Andi – thanks for sharing your story. We have had very similar experiences. My first child was born at 34 and 1/2 weeks after my water broke. Our local hospital wasn’t set up to handle the possible complications of a premature baby, so we had to take an ambulance drive down to Madison. He was healthy for how early he was – 5lbs 14oz, and he was in the NICU for only 5 days while he learned to eat and we got his bilirubin down. With my second child, I started to have contractions at 25 weeks, and was placed on bed rest and medication until 36 weeks – including one 3 day hospital stay around 35 weeks while they tried to stop the contractions again (which thankfully they did). My water broke with the second one also, but thank goodness we made it to 37 weeks that time. I also had walked for the March of Dimes before my issues with premature pregnancies, but it really put things in perspective for me after my experiences. I hope you have a great walk! It is for a great cause :-)
