Do you have a blog? If so, then I am sure you have heard of the Empower Network.

If you think that you can build a successful Internet Network Marketing business by sitting at a computer every day when you feel like it and then checking your bank account deposits, you are so wrong.

It takes many months when starting an Internet network marketing business. Many people work 24 hours a day, 7 days a week for possibly up to a year before seeing any kind of return on this big investment of time and money.

The majority of people enter into the world of Internet Marketing Business with totally the wrong attitude and concepts and accordingly… fail within three months of starting.

They wander around online like chickens…

pecking up little pieces of information hoping to pull them together into some kind of system.

Planning an Internet Network Marketing Business Effectively

Most internet network marketing businesses are run from home and many just can’t discipline themselves enough to be well-placed to target their business and avoid distraction.

If you have worked in any sort of business before, especially in an office, there might have been music playing but absolutely not a television on all the time… Why not? Nobody would ever be able to concentrate, so don’t try and do that when you work at home.

Go from the bedroom to the kitchen and get some breakfast and plan your breaks and what to do at dinner time… mostly it will be a sandwich made in the same kitchen.

Then… it’s back to work until you decide you are finished. It’s easy to burn out working from home too, as the work is always there calling to you.

Breaking Down Internet Network Marketing Business

Let’s break down the term “Internet Network Marketing Business”. Each of these words is important; it’s your business which involves networking and marketing.

Join the two words “network” and “marketing” to one another and understand that the term “network marketing” does not simply mean building an internet site and hoping it will generate traffic by itself. The Internet does not work like that.

You will have to build a website, build a list, and capture qualified leads from that list. There are numerous methods of going about that but if you select the wrong way, you are setting yourself up for failure. You will also require somebody who can help you as well, likely in the shape of a coach or mentor.

The way you earn money by Internet network marketing is by generating an inventory of targeted leads every day because without leads… you don’t have any business.

And there are hundreds of courses on the topic on the Internet and it can be very tough to select the right one.

If you want to learn about something, you need to learn from people who are successful doing what you want to do and those are people who are earning serious incomes from network marketing.

So… where do I find an entire bunch of these folks all in one place who are willing to pool their experience and information for the benefit of struggling marketing pros just like me? It does sound like an excellent idea though, doesn’t it?

What would be best would be a system that’s up to the minute and ceaselessly added to by many successful people in the business, and who bring all of the latest systems and concepts to the table.

There has been so much hype, promotion, “secret meetings”, NDAs, private webinars, Facebook ads, emails, hoopla, and much more surrounding the launch of the Empower Network.

So… I have called in Mythbusters…

(My husband is a huge fan of Mythbusters on the Discovery Channel, hosted by Jamie Hyneman and Adam Savage.)

I felt the need to confirm or bust this whole Empower Network thingy. If you haven’t watched Mythbusters, their goal is to either confirm or bust popular myths (or myths submitted by viewers).

So, let me start with some examples of previous myths proved or disproved on episodes of Mythbusters:

Myth: Is it Dangerous to Use a Phone in a Thunderstorm?

3 Simple Tips to Achieve Success in Network Marketing... When You are Part-Time!

3 Simple Tips for Achieving Success in Network Marketing… When You Are Part-Time!

How many hours/day do you have to “work your business”?

Are you making the most of the 24 hours in each and every day?

As a part-time network marketer myself, I think it is time to share what I have learned along the way to achieve success while working this industry part-time.

First of all, let me share a little bit about me and what my typically day looks like…

I am a mom of two, a wife of one, and a Senior Project Manager in Corporate America. I typically work 45-50 hours/week at my corporate job, including traveling at least a week out of every month. Sound crazy? My two daughters are 10 and 5 and are involved in sports, music lessons, dance lessons, church activities, and more. I am also the Chairman for the local March for Babies Event in my area. Wooh!

Oh, and one more thing I failed to mention… my husband works out of town every week and is home for the weekends (so I am kind of a “single parent” during the week!).

A typically day for me looks like this:

  • 6:00 AM – 7:00 AM  Get up and get ready for work

  • 7:00 AM – 7:30 AM  Kids up and ready for the day

  • 7:30 AM  – 7:40 AM  Drop kids off at daycare

  • 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM  Work at J.O.B.

  • 5:25 PM – 5:30 PM  Pick up kids at daycare

  • 5:30 PM – 8:30 PM  Dinner/Baths/Homework/Music Lessons

  • 9:00 PM – 11:00 PM  Mom Time!

And then the next day, we start all over again…

So, how do I build my business with a schedule like this?

Here come the 3 Tips!

Tip #1 – Use every minute you can.

What do I mean by this? Don’t wait until you have a full 30 minutes or an hour to work on your business. You can get many tasks completed in 5, 10, or 15 minute increments. Set yourself up for success and do this in increments.

  • Make prospecting calls for 15 minutes

  • Perform research for an article for 10 minutes

  • Post some ads on Facebook for 5 minutes

  • Catch up on emails for 10 minutes

When my daughters have music lessons, I am in my car on the computer writing an article or following up with prospects, etc (this is a great time to make calls!). If you have multiple little chunks of time throughout your day (and you use them!), you can accomplish a lot!

Tip #2 – Automate, Automate, Automate.

There are so many great tools available to help automate tasks that you perform, including:

I am currently utilizing Facebook PPC to generate 20-60 leads/day (more articles and training to come on this topic)! And… this is basically on autopilot.

With my crazy schedule (as you saw above), this lead generation strategy allows me to generate hundreds to thousands of leads/month and continue to build my business on a seriously part-time basis.

Tip #3 – You must have an AMAZING Presentation!

When you begin to generate leads on a daily basis, it is critically important to have a system or a process in place for handling hundreds of prospects. Do you have this in place? Where do you send your prospects?

Do you have a presentation that has been proven to work?

Do you have a presentation that has proven to convert?

I am part of a team with a presentation system that is built right into Facebook and converts higher than any other presentation. This system also contains a built-in autoresponder that allows me to automatically follow-up with my leads. This combination allows me to share information and keep in regular contact with my prospects even with limited time to do so.
