Why Live Events are So Important for MLM Success

I am hoping you will take away a couple of critical lessons from this video recorded at the MLSP “Live the Dream Event” in Vegas (October 2010).

Now, this was the first video of many recorded during the weekend in Vegas. I know, I know… What happens in Vegas… stays in Vegas (well, except for what’s on this video!).

So, here are a few of the lessons I have learned during the four years I have been in this industry:

#1 – Videos do not have to be perfect. Don’t shoot a video 20 times to get it “just right”. Don’t do it! It doesn’t matter. Video Marketing is all about connecting with people on a more personal level. The more videos you create, the more connections you will make. So, again, you are not looking for perfection. Just start recording and uploading!

#2 – Attending Live Events is of monumental importance to the success of your business. Not only will you connect with industry leaders, your coach or upline, your own team members, and other marketers, but you will have the opportunity to pursue and further develop business relationships. These connections will literally change your business. From training and learning to partnerships being formed… These live events are a “no-brainer” and should be viewed as an opportunity to take your business to a new level.

Network Marketing - It's all about Relationships...

No, we are not going to hold hands and sing Kum-ba-yah…

Seriously, though… Network Marketing is all about creating relationships, friendships, and helping others succeed. The relationships are so important it should be called Relationship Marketing.

So, what are you? Are you a Network Marketer? Are you building relationships? If not, you are not building a business.

To help you get started on building relationships, I am going to share 5 Quick Tips to help you Develop Relationships! Whether you are building your business online or offline, these 5 Quick Tips will apply.

Tip #1 – Smile.

You will be amazed at how smiling can not only help build relationships, but you also will feel better!
It’s amazing! Try it! Take that frown and turn it upside down!
When talking on the phone or even chatting on Facebook,
a smile will change the entire outcome and tone of the conversation.


Tip #2 – Be yourself.


Don’t try to be someone you are not.
To develop a relationship, be YOU. Be sincere, be kind, and be yourself.
You have a lot to offer other people and people want to know you.


Tip #3 – Ask questions.


To build a relationship, you must learn about the other person. How do you do this?
ASK QUESTIONS!
Ask about where the person lives, what they like to do, how many kids they have, what are there hobbies and interests, etc.
Don’t talk, talk, talk about YOU.
Find out more about them.

Tip #4 – Listen.

This is probably Numero Uno… God gave us two ears and one mouth for a reason. Right?
 Listen twice as much as are you talking. I know this can be very hard to do, but is so important in developing quality relationships with others.
Be a sounding board, taking good notes, and LISTEN.


Tip #5 – Remember.


What do I mean, Remember?
Take notes of what people say, remember
So, remember. Network Marketing is not just about networking or marketing.
Deep down, it’s all about Relationships.

So, go out there and starting building!
