*My WHY* - Inspired by a Little Pink Pig...

That’s my why…. My 3-year old daughter recorded a video for her daddy at work. How precious is that!! After watching this video about hundred times, it made me think about “my why” and what is driving me to succeed working from home. And, this is it!!!!

What is your WHY?  It is so important that you clearly understand and define your “why”, your motivation, your desire before you get started. There is a reason (or reasons) for everything that we do. Why do you drive the vehicle that you do? Why do you support or volunteer with certain charities? Why do you want to be a network marketer?

When I first entered the Network Marketing industry, I set goals for myself. Did I achieve these goals? In the beginning, I did not. Why is that? And, why does this happen to so many people? The goals I had set were well-defined and were what I desired, but I did not ask myself what my “why” was. Setting goals and working towards achieving them is a very important part of your business; however, you MUST ask yourself what is your WHY!!!! Your WHY is the intention to yearn for something. It is not what you yearn for, but WHY you yearn for it.

My example… I have worked in Corporate America for 17 years and I have always wanted to own my own business (my father was a serial entrepreneur!). My aspiration or what I have yearned for is to own my own business. My WHY… to be MOM, to be self-sufficient, to be self-supporting, and never have to rely on someone else. My WHY is my purpose and motivates me like no other.

Think about your WHY (close your eyes, relax, and really think about this)… Is your WHY something material? Dig deeper… A material WHY will often not get you through the difficult and hard times you will face in building your business. There are going to be disappointments… There are going to be setbacks… A strong WHY will see you through the disappointments and setbacks.

Think about it… If you have a very strong WHY, the HOW is irrelevant.  Have you seen or heard of “The Secret”?  “Without exception, every human being has the ability to transform any weakness or suffering into strength, power, perfect peace, health, and abundance.” – The Secret (http://www.thesecret.tv).  You are the author of your life!  When your WHY is so strong, you will manifest the HOW.

So, where do you go from here?  First, you need to set your goals (write them down and be clear).  This is not the HOW, but the WHAT you want.  Second, this is the WHY (write this down and be clear and compelling).  DO NOT TAKE THIS LIGHTLY!!! (Sorry for the CAPS, but I am passionate about this).  If you spend a little time on this exercise, you will be on your way to accomplishing and realizing your dreams!
